up to the hill

The sunset was alive as it has never been before. At least everything looked as different as October’s sky was painted by the flying colourful leaves. Little cute black creature with four pawls was running around the rocky, shaking from the cold body with big blue eyes which were reflecting the red sunlight. Girl with a black puppy were surrounded by the long grass and hills, sand, scarps, familiar so much they could be even names. Every single piece of sand, or the stems of the grass were the sound of the wind. Long grass and her long brown hair.
She was no more than twelve, with a big heart and loneliness. A girl hugged her dog and held him so tight he even squalled a bit.
-I am so sorry, - she whispered, - You know I love you.
A girl had no clue about those words but started to think what the love means. She hears those words everywhere but no one ever explained the meaning. Why do people keep saying the every five minutes to everything and everyone? Don’t the words lose their spirit after being said too many times? What’s the point of saying something you even don’t mean?
-Pointless, isn’t it?,- she said again to her dog.
She was thinking about everything in the small life. How big it was and how many memories she already has. The dog in her arms was quiet now, watching the sunset together calmly.
-You know, I’m not going to stay here forever. I have to see this sun from its other side. All the places show different sunsets, right? You’re gonna be gone by then. This is sad but I already lost some things. I will lose everything and everyone that I care about eventually. It may hurt, but you have to let it go. Even though no one is strong when alone but it’s better to not feel anything than to be lonely and useless, right?
The dog just turned his head to the left side and observed the last sunlight of the day as the sun was already gone. He has become too energetic by this time after resting for five minutes and started to running around and hiding behind the hills.
The girl stood up and took her bicycle. After the seconds, the dog was already running around her legs, all smiling and happy. They started to go together towards the
After exactly five years the same black dog on the same hill and at the same time was chasing the October’s sunset and never came back from it.
The same girl, who was no longer twelve, followed her dog’s path to the completely different direction, leaving behind everything she once had – the grass, the sand, the hills.
